The Good:
jersey maxi skirts/dresses (asos, Mango)
fedoras (promod, Morgan de Toi)
aviator sunnies (also lessens the chance of getting a harsh line of demarcations when one burns their nose lying on the beach, ahem) (Gucci)
horizontal stripes! A striped bodycon skirt was hot in London, while I saw tons of striped tops in France. (Bershka, Zara)
color combination: white and beige (Kookai)
The Ugly:
fancy sweat pants, as I like to call them (naf naf)

The New-again Silk Shirt
OK, first I saw it on Garance Doré's blog...
Then I see it on Tommy Ton's coverage of the fashion weeks..
Then again on Mane and chic's blog...
Well..... in the middle of this series of events, I saw a shirt in this style at H&M, but I only got one size to try on. I liked it, but I need a bigger size but I had to get outta there so I gotta go back soon to try on a size 8 and buy if it looks good. I will try to snap a pic as well. I think it was about $40, but I am not 100% sure.
I did some research and I didn't see many, but I really like Club Monaco's "Iman" shirt (oh, and STUDENT DISCOUNT!!!) so I will try to check out that sometime soon. I think I prefer this shirt with a voluminous, A-line skirt, but Club Monaco's styling is always on point (en pointe? I dunno). No pricing info.
You can always go for the Equipment "Signature" Silk Shirt for $178.
Reiss actually has a few nice ones! I like this sheer brown "Charlie" print for $215:
This style "Chris" has jersey paneling on the side for $175:
If you want to show your guns, go for "Kansas" for $175:
Lastly, ASOS has a boyfriend shirt for $37.07:

Styling tips from Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian always looks great - she has great sense of style and she shared some tips with In Style on how she looks her best sartorial-wise.
She dresses to show off her curves, or at the very least make her clothes look body-flattering. The only think I really love about my body is my small waistline. I am not a fan of my legs or arms, so that doesn't leave too many options! She listed Azzedine Alaïa as a maker of some of her favorite belts - I have seen the laser-cut leather designs on many people photographed on street-style blogs.Linea Pelle usually has a great selection of waist-cinching belts. I should really invest in some belts.
Alaïa belt:
Linea Pelle belt:
The tip I plan to invest in is shapewear - so simple, yet so forgettable. She said that she uses Body Wrap's long leg panties. Not exactly glamourous, but it will be covered by a great dress or pencil skirt.
Kim also advocates using a tailor. I wholeheartedly agree and this is where my sewing lessons come in handy!

100% Glamour for NYE
I have finally begun planning what the hell to do for New Year's Eve, so I guess I need to figure out something to wear now! If your presence is not commonplace at black tie affairs, NYE is a great time to dress to the nines.
Some runway inspirations after the jump... and it will be heavy on Naeem Khan
